The end of the semester has us reminiscing about sunnier, drunker times. Here's some memories, advice, food for thought, and just plain nonsense, brought to you by some older-but-not-wiser friends in fourth year.

"I think it's important to surround yourself with new people. Being on exchange gives you the opportunity to interact with students from all over the globe and learn about new cultures outside of your host country." - Rylee Grace

"To me, the best thing about exchange was getting to immerse myself in the culture of my home country. Whether it was going for a walk by the Seine, sampling different types of red wine or speaking broken French at a bakery, I loved the opportunity to try to live like a local somewhere so far from home." - Adam Carnicelli

"Every other night another movie being made." - Alex Tucker

"My favourite thing about exchange was making so many friends from all over the world and experiencing a completely new culture with them." - Bonnie Zhang

"Don’t plan too much! We’re so used to have our whole life and schedule plan when we’re in school because time is precious. On exchange it is the opposite! Not a stress in the world. be spontaneous and don’t stress over little things." - Adrienne Côtè

"One of my most memorable experiences on exchange was riding camels into the Sahara desert and watching the sun set from the sand dunes. After dinner at the camp, we all went back out and stargazed for hours. I remember it being freezing but no one wanted to leave because the sky looked so incredible." - Ellen Williams

“Fiction doesn’t exist.” - Angelis Prattas

"My favourite thing about exchange was definitely meeting new friends! I lived in an international residence, which made it really easy to meet and hang out with exchange students from all over the world. It was such a fun and unique experience, and I'm already planning trips to visit them in their home countries!" - Vanessa Lin
